Frequently Asked Questions

Q

Where can I find Drainage District information?

A

Drainage information is available on Beacon:

Boone County Beacon Website

ON THE MAP:

1) Find your parcel

2) From the layer list (upper left-hand side) under "Water", turn on "Drainage Districts" & "Boone CO Drain Tiles"

3) From here you will be able to visualize whether or not you parcel is in a drainage district and if there is tile on it

4) If your parcel has tile, you can click on "Boone CO Drain Tiles" in the layer list, this will then give you the opportunity to select that tile line and if provided you can see the length and size of tile

5) Further, you can click on "Drainage Districts" in the layer list, this will then give you the opportunity to select that district boundary and view the district map (report)

ON THE PARCEL REPORT:

1) Find your parcel

2) Go to the Parcel Report

3) Under "Zoning/Drainage District" you will see "This parcel is in Drainage District: XXX" - if there is a number listed, your parcel is in the identified district
