Jail Booking Area Workstation Replacement – Bid Notice
Boone County is soliciting bids for the complete replacement of the existing workstation and cabinetry located within the jail booking area.
Scope of Work
The project will include the following:
- Removal and disposal of the existing cabinetry, back panel, and countertops.
- The existing glass panels shown in the project area will be removed and reinstalled by others and are not included in the contractor’s scope of work.
- Furnishing and installation of new commercial-grade cabinetry in substantially the same layout and configuration as the existing workstation.
- The internal configuration of the base cabinets may be modified as necessary to accommodate the current operational needs of jail staff.
- Furnishing and installation of new quartz countertops.
- All replacement cabinetry, countertops, and related components must be installed in a professional and workmanlike manner.
- Contractor shall be responsible for all labor, materials, equipment, removal, disposal, installation, and other work necessary to complete the project as specified.
Dimensional Requirements
Because the existing glass panels will be removed and subsequently reinstalled, the replacement workstation must maintain the exact overall dimensions and footprint of the existing installation. Contractors should carefully verify all existing dimensions and site conditions prior to submitting a bid.
Any proposed modifications to the cabinet layout or internal cabinet configuration must not alter the overall dimensions required to accommodate the existing glass.
Insurance Requirements
Each bid must include proof of current insurance coverage. A valid Certificate of Insurance must be submitted with the bid and must demonstrate insurance coverage appropriate for the proposed work.
Failure to provide the required proof of insurance with the bid may result in the bid being considered incomplete and ineligible for consideration.
Site Visit and Questions
Contractors are encouraged to schedule a site visit prior to submitting a bid in order to inspect the existing workstation, verify dimensions and site conditions, and review the scope of work.
Please contact Sheriff Andrew Godzicki to schedule a site visit, obtain additional project details, or ask any questions regarding this bid.
