Granular Surfacing on Local Roads

posted on 4/5/23

Beginning Thursday, April 6th, Boone County will be conducting a limestone hauling and surfacing project on several granular roads throughout the County.  Boone County Maintenance personnel are diligently working to improve the crown on these routes where the limestone will soon be placed.  Crews are removing the high edges and incorporating that material to get the crown of the road to a minimum of 4%. JMT Trucking will be hauling the limestone material and placing it on approximately 30 miles of roadway throughout Boone County. The link below will take you to the map that identifies the routes that will receive the rock. Please use caution when approaching the work areas.
