Commission

Boone County has three Commissioners. Commissioners are appointed for a 3-year term and must request/accept reappointment. Chairmanship rotates at the discretion of the Commission. Consideration is usually given to ensure different eras of service such as World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, Etc., different geographic areas of the County (Boone, Ogden, Madrid), and gender balance.  It is required that Gender Balance is given consideration every time a Commission opening becomes available.
