How do I get on the agenda for the Board of Health?
To get on the agenda for the Board of Health, you can call or email the Board of Health Secretary, Ed Tharp, and coordinate the date for the next available meeting.
You can then send any pertinent information to him at etharp@boonecounty.iowa.gov.
How do I obtain a radon test kit?
Low cost test kits are available from the Health and Sanitation Office at the Boone County Courthouse. You can also order a short term test kit online for $10 (includes postage and handling, subject to availability). Payment is accepted online by credit card.
Short Term Test Kits
- Test period: 3 to 7 days
- Used for intial testing and for re-testing when levels are above 8pCi/L.
- Price: $10 (retail value: $14.95)
Long Term Test Kits
- Test period: 91 to 365 days
