The Boone County Offices will be CLOSED Thursday, Nov. 28 & Friday, Nov. 29 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The Boone County Landfill will reopen Friday, November 29.

Sex Offender Registry

By the Iowa Code, the Boone County Sheriff's office shall register sex offenders who reside in Boone County.

Offenders who need to register with Boone County should call the Sheriff's Office at 515-433-0524 to schedule an appointment with a sex offender registry officer.

If you are aware of an offender who has not registered or is not living at their registered address, please contact our office so we may check that they are compliant with Iowa Code. 

Registration Requirements

Offenders must register with the Sheriff's Office upon moving to Boone County.  All information, specified by Iowa Code Chapter 692A at the time of initial registration, must be provided and any changes to that information must be reported within five (5) business days.

An annual registration fee of $25.00 must be paid in cash at the time of registration.
